Browsing and searching

You can read and search the guides without a visitor account. We do not collect viewer payments or operate a newsletter signup or comment form.

Search text and filters appear in page addresses and may be sent to our service to find matching titles. They can remain in browser history or shared links. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information. The copy-title button writes the selected title to your clipboard only when you press it; it does not read your clipboard.

Your saved list

My list stores saved title identifiers in this browser’s local storage. Saved titles are not included in our analytics events or referral links and do not sync across devices. Clearing browser data removes this list.

Hosting and administrator access

Cloudflare provides the hosting and network services used to deliver this website. It may process connection information, including IP addresses and request details, to deliver pages and protect the service.

The separate administrator area uses the site’s own account login to verify authorised operators. Administrator email addresses, password hashes and session records are stored for this purpose; passwords are not stored in plain text. Login uses a session cookie. Visitors do not need an administrator login to read public guides.

Optional site analytics

When enabled by the site operator, first-party analytics records page views and clicks on viewing links. These records can include page paths, broad source categories, campaign labels, event times and temporary random browsing markers. This feature is disabled by default.

Our analytics event records do not store IP addresses, full referring URLs, search text, names or email addresses. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings prevent this event collection. We do not add saved titles or browsing markers to viewing links.

Browser storage and retention

If analytics is enabled, a temporary random browsing marker and basic page context are stored in the browser tab. It expires after 30 minutes and does not connect activity across devices. You can clear it through your browser’s site-data controls.

Analytics events are retained for up to 90 days under the site’s scheduled cleanup. Temporary operational backups may retain deleted records until those backups expire. Administrator operations and accounting records are kept separately from visitor browsing events.

Google Analytics (optional)

If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 uses analytics cookies to measure page visits and clicks on viewing links. Google receives browser and device information and processes connection information to provide these reports. Viewing-link clicks do not mean a purchase occurred.

Google Analytics does not load before you consent. We send page addresses without query strings or fragments, use only the referring site origin, and do not send search text, saved titles, names or email addresses. Administrator pages, saved-list pages and preview domains are excluded. Advertising signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.

Use Analytics preferences in the footer to decline or withdraw consent. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also prevent collection. Your preference and analytics cookies expire after six months; Google Analytics event-level data uses the default two-month retention. Aggregated reports may be kept longer. Links to other services

Viewing links take you to an external platform with its own privacy policy. Labelled affiliate links may first pass through a referral partner. Those services may process connection, device and referral information under their policies.

We do not add your saved list, search text or browsing marker to referral links. Accounts, payment information and playback activity at the destination are handled by that service.

Your choices and changes

You can clear this site’s browser data, remove search URLs from your history, and enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control to prevent optional analytics collection. Clearing browser storage does not erase events already recorded by the service.

We will update this policy when our hosting, analytics or other data practices change. The date below identifies this version.
